Have you seen these HUGE daisies over at Michaels? They're nearly 8" in diameter and they are FABULOUS! I thought…what great wall art these would make!?
So I broke out a canvas (used, just doing my part to be green and recycle) and some sassy Teresa Collins Chic Bebe Girl papers and commenced to making a fun art piece with this awesome quote, "the best things in life aren't things," love it.
This is a quick project that would be a great gift for a pre-teen or a girl friend. Here's how it comes together…
What you'll need to pull out:
A canvas (mine is 8 x 10), staple gun, hot glue gun, flower, papers and
embellishments (acrylic gems).
Wrap the paper around the canvas. I simply stapled this into place.
Trim excess at the corners to make a neat fold.
I added a strip of paper down the center of the animal print for added interest…though I covered the text up. Bling it out with acrylic gems!
For a secure hold, attach the flower with hot glue AND a brad through center. For best results remove the plastic-y pieces that are within the layers of the flower as well as the center accent. Hot glue the quote chipboard piece to the center.
Hang and enjoy!
