My goal this summer was to soak it up; enjoy the kids and the fruits of our labor (backyard/garden) and prepare myself for the thought that my life might possible turn completely upside down if I take classes this fall (still not 100% sure about that). We've done the summer movies, made time to swim and relax, kept most of the chores managed, hit the library a couple times! So far so good!
Due to some isp issues and then my phone dying I've actually been forced to sort of be "unplugged" the last few weeks. And you know what…it's very liberating. I mean, when you know you can't check your email on your phone 10 times a day (or more 🙂 and you just have to check it when you get home…its okay. And if people can't call you …its okay. And if you can't call them…well, that gets annoying! LOL! But my goodness…I think I'll make it. New phone end of next week ;) Long awaited. Catch my drift 🙂 HAPPY.
Cash said THE funniest thing the other day...let me set the scene:
Cash was frustrated that Sara took her iTouch away… (He LOVES playing the app games.)
Sara: (something like) Cash, GIVE IT!!!
him: no, I'm playing it…whahhaaaaahh!!!!
me: (joking, of course) Poor baby…do you want Mama to just get you your own iPod?
him: (stops crying with a pause) No, I want an iPhone 🙂
me: LOL!!! ME TOO!!!
Speaking of techie stuff…after I took the kids to see How to Train a Dragon today, we had to run some errands. Went to Best Buy to look at phones and had an awesome time playing with iPads, phones and Macs :) Fun stuff…as long as your children are well behaved one could chock this up to entertainment!!! hee hee!!! A very helpful young man talked me into purchasing a MacBook (no, I didn't actually buy one, he just sold me on it :) He was in the same graphic design program I'm considering —so I learned a lot from him. Talk about feeling like an old lady!!!
(btw…Cash changed his mind about the iPhone when he played with the iPad!!! LOL)
Then to Target to get $.75 waffles, seriously! LOL! Grab a $1 off coupon here and then head to Target for Eggos (they're on sale for $1.75 right now). Oh and there are some fabulous clearance deals on girls clothes too…school shopping has started :) Lots of items for $3 and change.
I am still working too. Trying to get my projects finalized for Inspiration Unlimited this September! It's getting closer!!! Vegas baby…can't wait to see all the alumni!!! Ginger. Teresa. Meet Janet and Elizabeth! FUN FUN!
Sara and I dreamed up a plan to have a "trunk show" here and invite some friends and family to a girls' night and "Whimsy" shopping. We usually dream big…we'll see if we can get it all done! Whew! We've been sewing lots, she's working on flowers and keeping me organized! She's great at that…thank goodness she DID NOT inherit my procrastination gene!!!
Well, I'm out for now! Have a great week!
