We made it through the holidays and were blessed with extended time off, lots of family togetherness, wonderful gifts and a healthy family. Such utter goodness. But do you know what? I literally took maybe a couple of dozen photos! What?!#$* That’s all the photos to show for the daily December happenings? Seriously?
It’s okay. I’m fine, really. Because guess what? All I can really take with me is the memories. And that means I wasn’t consumed with posting on social media, capturing every angle and being tethered to my phone constantly. Sure, okay, I played a lot of Words with Friends but my phone got a much needed break for the most part.
I remember back when I scrapbooked, I finally got to the point that one or two photos would suffice for a scrapbook page. Yes, I used to take dozens, maybe hundreds of photos at the holidays, but one or two images was really all I needed to bring the memory up. Over the years I’ve taken less and less photos…and I’m mostly okay with that.
What matters most is all of the warm fuzzies I get thinking about the December days we spent playing games, eating pounds of pound cake, cooking yummy things and rocking around the Christmas tree to holiday music and enjoying the crackle of the ROKU fire lol! It was oh-so-good.
