Its Monday (early am)– I got in trouble this weekend…by my 9 year old daughter. "you're on the computer too much…" she said. I was quick to disagree…and then,
I thought a moment.
…and I realized…yes, I am on the computer way too much.
Lately— I've been juggling several different projects in addition to my usual workload as well as all the getting the kids back to school, the new routine, the family needs. In the planning stages of said projects– computer time is a necessity–but none of that really matters…all she sees is –that I'm always on the computer.
I don't want to always be computering…
So I decided, thats it. I have to make a schedule of work hours…and keep it totally separate from family time. Its really hard when you are working at home. It's hard to keep it divided. I'll run into look up a recipe on the computer and before I know it I'm totally sidetracked with emails, requests, tasks—and I've totally blown 45 minutes. Sometimes I think I'd be MORE productive if I could go to work somewhere else 6-8 hours a day!!
So with that said…I spent the weekend enjoying and soaking up my kiddos. Friday night we made homemade pizza and got movies…they were doing their usual dance routines and they swam and just had so much fun…
and I stopped…
and smelled the roses, per say.
They were so happy…it made me so happy.
Today was one of the proudest days of my life…my little Sara did a testimony at church. It was really special and so precious…it was one of those moments when you're like, maybe I've done something right? But you know what…she's taught me just as much as I've ever taught her…I really attribute her sweet goodness to the grace of God and can take no credit. There's something really special about that little girl…really.
Okay, I know–I'm totally gushing. I s'pose I'm still feeling emotional from today…how about I gush about some really generous folks?
